Management Team

Daniel R. Gilbert, Executive Chairman

Mr. Gilbert is our Executive Chairman of the board of directors. Mr. Gilbert also serves as Chief Investment and Operating Officer of NorthStar Asset Management Group, Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of our sponsor, NorthStar Asset Management Group Inc. (NorthStar; NYSE: NSAM). Mr. Gilbert also serves as Chief Investment & Operating Officer of NorthStar Realty Finance Corp. (NorthStar Realty; NYSE:NRF), a company managed by our sponsor. He has previously served as NorthStar Realty’s Co-President from April 2011 until January 2013 and has served in various other senior management positions since NorthStar Realty’s initial public offering in October 2004.

Mr. Gilbert also serves as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of NorthStar’s other public, non-traded REIT offerings: NorthStar Real Estate Income II, Inc. and NorthStar Real Estate Income Trust, Inc. In addition, Mr. Gilbert serves as Co-Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of NorthStar/RXR New York Metro Real Estate, Inc., a public, non-traded REIT offering co-sponsored by NorthStar.

With more than 20 years of industry experience, Mr. Gilbert has extensive expertise in all aspects of commercial real estate investing through changing market conditions and has played a central role in the formation, development and vertical integration of NorthStar’s organization. Prior to co-founding NorthStar Realty, Mr. Gilbert spent 10 years with Merrill Lynch & Co. in its Global Principal Investments and Commercial Real Estate Department.

Mr. Gilbert holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Union College in Schenectady, New York.

Ronald J. Jeanneault, Chief Executive Officer and President

Mr. Jeanneault is the Chief Executive Officer and President of NorthStar Healthcare Income, Inc. He is responsible for directional strategy of NorthStar’s healthcare real estate business, including growing NorthStar Healthcare’s real estate portfolio. Mr. Jeanneault has been a key management team member for NorthStar’s healthcare platform, serving as Executive Vice President and head of asset management of both NorthStar Healthcare and the healthcare investment division of NorthStar Asset Management Group Inc. (NYSE: NSAM) since July of 2014, and NorthStar Realty Finance Corp. (NYSE: NRF), a company managed by NSAM, since March 2012. During his tenure, NorthStar’s combined healthcare assets under management have grown significantly, from $559 million in 2012 to more than $6.3 billion in 2014. With more than 23 years of experience, Mr. Jeanneault has extensive expertise in the acquisition, operations and management of senior housing facilities.

Mr. Jeanneault began his career by operating a national rehabilitation center with New Medico and gained first-hand knowledge working on-site at a facility. Mr. Jeanneault also held numerous executive leadership roles with Sunrise Senior Living and most recently served as Senior Vice President and Co-Head of Operations. During his tenure with Sunrise, he played an integral role in growing their portfolio from 50 to more than 400 senior housing facilities in the United States, Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom. He also spent a number of years at Johns Hopkins Medical where he ran outpatient programs and developed community based programs for medically fragile children.

Mr. Jeanneault earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts. He currently serves as an executive committee member of the American Senior Housing Association.

Douglas W. Bath, Chief Investment Officer

Mr. Bath is the Chief Investment Officer of NorthStar Healthcare Income, Inc. and is responsible for implementing, overseeing and executing senior housing investments. With more than 18 years in the senior housing industry, Mr. Bath has comprehensive experience in operations, asset management, transactions and debt and equity investments.

Prior to joining NorthStar, Mr. Bath served as Senior Vice President of Investments and Asset Management with Sunrise Senior Living, Inc. where he played a key role in growing their portfolio from 20 to 448 properties within a 15-year period. Mr. Bath also served as Head of Senior Housing Investments division at JP Morgan and was instrumental in raising and investing more than $700 million. Most recently, Mr. Bath was hired to create and lead Walker & Dunlop’s healthcare lending division and within one year, Walker & Dunlop was recognized as a leading provider of senior housing loans with over $1 billion of loans under management.

Mr. Bath holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Frank V. Saracino, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer

Mr. Saracino is our Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. In addition, Mr. Saracino has served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of each of NorthStar Real Estate Income Trust, Inc., NorthStar Real Estate Income II, Inc. and NorthStar/RXR New York Metro Real Estate, Inc. since August 2015. Prior to joining NorthStar, Mr. Saracino was with Prospect Capital Corporation (Prospect) from July 2012 to December 2014, where he concentrated on portfolio management, strategic and growth initiatives and other management functions. In addition, during his tenure at Prospect, Mr. Saracino served as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, Treasurer and Secretary of each of Priority Senior Secured Income Fund, Inc. and Pathway Energy Infrastructure Fund, Inc. and their respective investment advisers and served as a Managing Director of Prospect Administration, LLC.

Prior to joining Prospect, Mr. Saracino was a Managing Director at Macquarie Group and Head of Finance from August 2008 to June 2012 for its Americas non-trading businesses which included private equity, asset management, lease financing, private wealth, and investment banking. From 2004 to 2008, he served first as Controller and then as Chief Accounting Officer of eSpeed, Inc. (now BGC Partners, Inc.), a publicly-traded subsidiary of Cantor Fitzgerald. Prior to that, Mr. Saracino worked as an investment banker at Deutsche Bank advising clients in the telecom industry. Mr. Saracino started his career in public accounting at Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) where he earned a CPA and subsequently worked in internal auditing for The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation.

Mr. Saracino holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University.

Ann B. Harrington, General Counsel and Secretary

Ms. Harrington is the General Counsel and Secretary of NorthStar Healthcare Income, Inc., a position she has held since May 2016. Ms. Harrington currently serves as Senior Vice President, Associate General Counsel of Colony NorthStar, Inc., a position she has held since January 2017. Ms. Harrington previously served as Senior Corporate Counsel of NorthStar Asset Management Group Inc., the predecessor to Colony NorthStar, since January 2015. Ms. Harrington also serves as General Counsel and Secretary of NorthStar/RXR New York Metro Real Estate, Inc., a position she has held since February 2017.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Harrington served as an associate in the Corporate and Financial Services Group of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP from September 2008 through December 2014 where she advised public and private corporate clients with respect to capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, securities laws compliance, corporate governance and other general corporate matters.

Ms. Harrington holds a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey and a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in Columbus, Ohio.
